TSX-V: SKY

VANCOUVER, July 30 /CNW/ - Stikine Gold Corporation (TSX.V: SKY) (the "Company") announces that it has changed its name to Stikine Energy Corp. to reflect its strengthening commitment to the energy sector.

Effective at the opening on August 3, 2010, the Company will trade on the TSX Venture Exchange under the new name with its existing symbol "SKY". There is no change in the capital structure of the Company in connection with the name change.
