Republic Gold halts Bolivian project amid uncertainty

ASX-listed Republic Gold has suspended its operations at the Amayapampa gold project, in Bolivia, as the company awaited certainty around issues of nationalistation and the implications of the draft Mining Code. MD Campbell Smith said on Friday that the uncertainty in the country was directly impacting the A$130-million capital raising needed to commercialise the project.
